This wooden dreidel brings back a sense of Holiday and tradition to any celebration. We play year-round with special games around the winter holidays. The dreidel is sourced and then engraved here in the shop with custom inscriptions providing the Hebrew character, the phonetic Hebrew pronunciation, and a small English hint on the rule of play for that side. The dreidel is a two-part woodturning with laser engraved gameplay symbols and instructions. It is 1" wide and 2-1/2" high. I include an instruction card for each dreidel. The Braille dreidels are labeled with the letter matching the starting sound of the Hebrew letter on each side: N for Nun, G for Gimel, H for Hey and S for Shin. These dreidels come with both a game instruction card and a card with a QR code that links to recorded audio game instructions.
Instructions:
Players start with 10-20 playing pieces. We use coins, raisins, chocolates, coins, candies, or even pebbles.
Each player adds a piece to the center pot and play begins.
Each player spins the dreidel once during their turn. Depending on which player's side is facing up when it stops spinning, they give or take game pieces from the pot:
a) If נ (nun) is facing up, the player does nothing.
b) If ג (gimel) is facing up, the player gets everything in the pot.
c) If ה (hey) is facing up, the player gets half of the pieces in the pot. (Rounded up if there are an odd number.)
d) If ש (shin) is facing up, the player adds one or 3 pieces to the pot- this should be decided before the game begins.
If a player runs out of pieces they are out. (Of course, you can always ask for a loan)
I sing to myself as I package each one: O’ dreidel, dreidel, dreidel - I made you out of wood. Added some engravings, and now you look so good! (It's catchy, right?)

Note- The engraving goes from right to left as you turn the dreidel to follow the convention of the Hebrew language. Each dreidel in your order comes with a small card listing the instructions described above.

Shipping is calculated based on weight which allows me to more accurately show the true price without wrapping shipping into the item cost- that way if you need more than one, you aren't paying too much on the front end.
